The Gourmet Experience from Luxury Edinburgh is the ultimate package for food lovers everywhere. As a city renowned for its world class cuisine, Edinburgh’s headline restaurants and hidden gems offer something for everyone.  With this in mind, we have put together a mouth watering gourmet experience to tantalise the most discerning of palates. An ideal package for small or large couple groups, this experience can also be adapted for male or female groups.

9.30am - 3.30pm
Start your day at the popular new Cook School by Martin Wishart for an unforgettable cookery experience. Relax in the custom designed space with coffee and Scottish shortbread while world class chefs prepare you for the highest level of professional tuition. You will be treated to individual attention as you gather new skills to wow your friends at your next dinner party! Then it’s time to sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the lunch you have prepared and get to know your fellow students. You’ll leave with a new love and appreciation for cooking.

Afterwards you can check into one of the Luxury Edinburgh hotels – take your pick of the city’s most exclusive establishments: Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa, The Witchery, Prestonfield, The Edinburgh Residence and The Howard. Take some time to relax in your room before getting ready for an evening of culinary excitement.

5.00pm - 7.00pm
Now the girls and guys can set off in different directions for their own specialist treats...

An absolute must for any whisky lover, The Scotch Whisky Experience sits atop the Royal Mile – a stone’s throw from Edinburgh Castle – and is home to the world’s largest collection of Scotch Whisky. The men will enjoy The Connoisseurs’ Collection Tour, an interactive experience taking visitors on a journey to discover the secrets behind our national drink – and of course enjoy a sample or two! Expert guides and whisky advisors are with you every sip of the way.

Meanwhile the girls can head over to the Forth Floor at the fabulous Harvey Nichols for a brand new, exclusive gourmet treat. As its name suggests, The Chocolate Lounge is Edinburgh’s answer to pure heavenly indulgence. Glamorous, trendy, and, of course, tasty, this is unlike anything you have ever seen before. From champagne fondues to rose petal chocolate drinks, afternoon tea takes on a whole new meaning!

7.30pm - late
Moody candlelight, stunning interiors and dynamic taste sensations; it could only be The Witchery by the Castle, Edinburgh’s 31-year-old dining institution. Locals, visitors and celebrities alike have fallen under the spell of this mystical restaurant. The two groups will meet here to catch up on their experiences and enjoy an extra special dining experience showcasing the fine ingredients and expert culinary skills of The Witchery team. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a beautiful set menu and bottle of champagne.  

Day two (optional)
If you still have some room for a little further indulgence (and why not?), Luxury Edinburgh welcomes you to book into any of our luxury venues for a relaxing lunch the following day. Get everyone together one last time to share tales of your Edinburgh gourmet experiences.

Taxis between destinations are not included but we would be happy to organise chauffeur driven transport between the venues, if required.

The Gourmet Experience costs from £650 per couple, which includes one night of luxury accommodation at your chosen venue, a day at the Cook School by Martin Wishart, The Connoisseurs’ Collection Tour for one and the Chocolate Lounge at Harvey Nichols for one (includes chocolate fondue and one large glass of Rose Brut), plus set menu dinner at The Witchery for two (including one bottle of champagne).

The package can also be booked as a day experience without accommodation and costs from £450 per couple including the Cook School, the early evening experiences and dinner at The Witchery.
